Soooo...Happy Halloween?
My first graders have been excited about this weekend for ages. Blah. Halloween is decidedly less thrilling when you're an adult. Especially when you don't have a party to go to or anything. And I live out in the middle of nowhere, so there aren't even any trick-or-treaters to amuse me. Booooring.
I do have a pumpkin I could carve, but doing that alone seems really lame.
So here I am.

I did decide to go ahead and dye my hair today. It came out a darker brown than I'd expected. I look kind of goth. Oops.
Also I went to an antique store today. It's a random hobby of mine. I love vintage things. Ended up finding an awesome 1950's navy blue skirt. It's super full, like a poodle skirt, really. In perfect condition and super cheap. I loooove it. Hopefully I can get a pic of it up here sometime soon.
Last night the wind blew so hard that it ripped all of the leaves off the trees. I woke up this morning and when I looked out I was soooo sad. Only tree branches. All of the color is absolutely gone.

Soooooo I'm ready for snow!! Bring it on!

Found out some unsettling news the other day and it's been bringing me down. Also, where did everybody go lately? I feel like my friends have all suddenly disappeared.
At least I have eight little 6-year-olds to cheer me during the week. They're so cute.

My parents are about to go to bed. Looks like I'll be spending the night on the couch. Probably playing Bejeweled. I AM SO LAME. Need to start painting again or something. Anything to cure this cabin fever!!!
Love and kisses,
Eliz
P.S. I was reminded today of another reason I am glad to be home in Wisconsin - Sprecher Root Beer. If you've never had it, you are missing out. You can order it online and they'll ship it to you for pretty cheap.
